Deaf. Autistic. ADHD. Fiercely gentle.

Hi 🙂 I’m Rachel Burton — also known as Such a Lovely Red, or just Rach.

I write, speak, sign, perform, and create content: keynotes, workshops, ASL dubbing for film, TV, and media projects, whatever the work calls for. My work explores what it means to actually belong in Deaf culture, neurodivergence, and the language we build to survive spaces.

My platform grew out of a public diary of tending my inner garden, and became a way to share that with the world. This is where I share that, unfinished and true.

Want me on your stage or your project, or just looking for people who get it?

A Few Things I’m Into

Deaf Culture

Language, identity, access, audism, and the good parts.

Neurodivergence

Unmasking, regulation, and making life work with your brain.

ASL & Poetry

Language, performance, poetry, the wonderful world of signing.

Belonging

The part of access that most people don’t think about.

Pull up a chair. There’s probably something here for you.
